We aim for SpaceWonder to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we do
- Semantic headings, landmarks, labelled form controls and a skip link on every page.
- Full keyboard operation with visible focus indicators.
- Charts carry text descriptions, and key data is also available as tables or text.
- 3D scenes are optional: every fact shown in 3D is also available in text, for example in the Planet Guide.
- Animations respect your operating system's reduced-motion setting, and moving scenes can be paused.
- Layouts work from 320 px wide screens upward without horizontal scrolling.
Known limitations
- Rotating and zooming inside 3D canvases requires a pointer or touch; the same information is available through the buttons and lists beside them.
- News headlines come from third parties and may not always follow plain-language guidance.
