    Legal

    Privacy policy

SpaceWonder is designed to work without accounts and without tracking you.

    What we collect

    • Contact form: your name, email address, topic and message, used only to reply to you. Messages are delivered by email through our email provider and are not used for marketing.
    • Location (optional, Mission Control): if you choose “Use my location” for ISS pass predictions, your browser asks your permission and shares your position with the page. It is rounded to about 1 km, used in your browser to compute the passes, remembered in your browser's local storage so you don't have to share it again, and never sent to our servers. You can choose a city instead.
    • Server logs: our hosting provider processes IP addresses and request details to deliver pages and protect against abuse. Our rate limiting keeps IP addresses in memory only briefly.

    What we do not do

    • No advertising, no selling of data and no cross-site tracking.
    • No analytics service is installed at present. If one is added, this policy will be updated first.
    • No cookies are set by SpaceWonder for its own features. See the cookie policy.

    Third-party content

Live data is fetched by our server, so your browser does not contact those services directly. The exception is NASA's Astronomy Picture of the Day image, which loads from apod.nasa.gov, and links you choose to follow.

    Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you by using the contact form. Depending on where you live, data-protection laws such as the GDPR may give you further rights, including complaining to your local supervisory authority.
