How it works
Your mass is the same everywhere; your weight — the force a scale measures — changes with local gravity. A bathroom scale calibrated for Earth shows m × g_body / g₀.
Variables
m— your mass (unchanged everywhere)g_body— surface gravity of the body
Assumptions and limits
- Uses mean surface gravity from NASA fact sheets
- Giant planets have no solid surface; values are at the 1-bar pressure level
- Ignores rotation and altitude
